New to forums sorry. Why is minecraft so laggy for me? I have a fairly fast internet. is it my frames or what?

Change the video settings to the lowest possible settings and turn off sounds and music .

Or, download Optifine and keep the fancy rendering ad the sounds

Since you mentioned internet, I'm assuming you don't mean low FPS.

It's likely on the server end if you know your connection is good. Try a different one.
