I was decorating the spawn point in The End with nether brick, chiseled stone bricks, and some torches. I was with my dog. Then when I re-enter The End, the decorations put on the spawn point are gone except for the dropped torches. I've widened the spawn point and redecorated it again, and still never works. What happened?

EDIT: Huh, this was moved to the Unmodified Minecraft Client section? I have no crashes.
I'm not sure what the actual parameters are, but the area around the obisdian pad that you spawn on when arriving at The End will regenerate every time you spawn in. Pretty sure it's intentional, due mostly to the nature of how The End is mainly void with very little land.

Oh. So that's why I can't decorate the end spawn point.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

No spawn protection.
Nope. I'm not on a server.
Anyways, a dell inspiron model, Windows 8 Build 9200, Intel HD Graphics (not an issue with my video card)
It must be the obsidian pad regenerating when I re-enter The End.
