I am having a problem with minecraft since I got my new graphics card. When I took out my Radeon HD 7450 and put in my new EVGA Geforce GTX 660, minecraft runs for about 10m, then starts to lag HARD. When I look at my performance, its using the just the CPU not the GPU. Is there any way that I can get minecraft to run on the GPU?
[Edit: I have the latest graphics drivers.]
MC runs using your video drivers. If they do something in software, that's where it's going to happen.
When the performance drops suddenly after some amount of run time, that can sometimes be fixed by making sure that you are using 64bit Java if you have a 64bit OS.
