after the minecraft update, the launcher just black screen and don't dare to show up the mojang icon
pls help i can't join servers now
how the error looks: 1. log in minecraft (fored update) 2. updating 3. done updating 4. black screen on the launcher, didn't even show up the mojang icon (for 2 hours)
First, try reinstalling Minecraft. To do so, in the Finder, from the Go menu, select Home. Then open Library, Application Support, and then minecraft. Drag the bin and resources folders to the trash, then try running Minecraft again.

Minecraft dropped Java 1.5 and you need to update to 1.6 to play the new update. Unfortunately, if you are using a Mac version 10.5.9 or less, you cannot update to Java 1.6. Check the version of your Mac by clicking the apple in the top left, and then clicking "About this Mac".
If you are running 10.5.X. or less, you will need to wait until Minecraft update 1.5.1 is released on Friday. This update will allow Mac users running 10.5.X or less to connect to Minecraft without crashing.

Retired StaffNope, you're still on Java 7. Follow this guide.

If you are running 10.5.X. or less, you will need to wait until Minecraft update 1.5.1 is released on Friday. This update will allow Mac users running 10.5.X or less to connect to Minecraft without crashing.
