Twice since the recent update, I have experienced a serious bug while playing Minecraft. I'll be playing normally, and suddenly my mouse will stop responding. My mouse is rather old, and it's been jamming on occasion for a while, so I wasn't surprised the first time it happened. But then, my keyboard stopped responding as well, and un- & replugging the devices didn't help anything. The only thing I could do was a hard shutdown. As mentioned, this has now happened twice. I'm not really enjoying this, and would like some help.

I did a google search on the problem, and I saw one other person who experienced the same thing, and they were told that they didn't have enough RAM. I don't think this is the problem for me, as I have 4 GB RAM and can run all sorts of other games without issue, but I'm not positive, and that's why I'm asking.

So does anyone have any idea as to what's happening?

You don't have any mods or texture packs running do you? You may need to increase the amount of ram java can use (kind of a long shot but it might help) but 4gb of ram is more than way enough to run minecraft (unless you run a 150+ mod pack).

I don't have any texture packs or mods on at the moment. I don't think changing the amount of ram java is allowed to use would help, because I used to get "out of memory" errors when java ran out of ram it was allowed into, and those just crashed minecraft rather than my entire computer.
