So im having some trouble with my Minecraft launcher not being able to launch. it just happened today and i ahve no idea what it could be. when i try to lauch the launcher it presents me with this:

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Can someone please help??

I tried multiple times to delete and reinstall minecraft also.

I re-intalled Java and i got the same message again. What do you mean by adding it to my PATH? im not super tech savvy sorry for my ignorance.

Follow This Guide to add java to your path. This will fix the error.

" modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH" What does this mean by location of the class to the value? once again im sorry for my ignorance.

I followed the steps you have provided but it still pops up with the same error message as before. Should i just delete my PATH and make a new one? If so what would i have to type into it?

And nope, do not delete anything from your PATH.

I tried this and it did not work. But, after I tried i restarted my computer and now the script shows like this:

Im sorry for the trouble but any idea what to insert into here now?

Okay so I setup the bat file and it didnt quite work. When I tried to run the bat file i was presented with the command prompt window and it had this in the text:

Setting PATH...
ERROR: Access to the registry path is denied.
Path set!
Press any key to continue . . .

What do i do from here since it seems like it didnt work?
