I had this originally posted under the “modded” thread but I don’t believe I have a modded version (I’ll explain below plus the crash reports states my version isn’t modded.)
Minecraft is hanging on me. The window that comes up states: Ticking entity. Whatever that is. I saw this only once in 1.4.7, but with 1.5 I see it so often the game is unplayable.
The only mod I ever did to it is ran this program: mcpatcher-2.4.5_03.exe that was to allow me to use alternate texture packs which I never actually did. Still confused on that issue, but that’s a different story…
OS: Windows 7 – 64bit
Java Version 7 Update 17 (build 1.7.0_17-b02)
Today I also reinstalled both versions of Java 32-bit and 64-bit.
This is the output from the crash report:

So I tried an experiment and rolled back to V1.4.7 and again the game crashed. :-(

What's interesting is that I upgraded to the latest Java versions also, but before I think I was running only Java 32-bit, but I added Java 64-bit and updated both. Wonder if maybe my Java versions are too new? Maybe I should roll back? Though I don't recall what I was on before... :-( Or remove the 64-bit version? Might be worth experimenting when I can find a bit of free time.
Another thing I could try is to create a new world and see how that works. I won't erase my current map since I'd love to return to that someday. But until then maybe it's because an older map isn't upgrading correctly?
I had this error too after downloading smart moving
Do you have Flan's mod and the parachute mod too?
I think that's why MY game crashes like this. Incompatibilities. I'll remove SM and see if it works.
If not, VEHICLES DON'T WORK IN FLAN'S 1.5.1 FOR ME/SOME!

Thanks for any help you can give. Love the game!
