Help! When I updated minecraft there was a message that says this: Fatal Error (5): A device attached to the system is not functioning Extracting: Windows_natives.jar.lzma to Windows_natives.jar
That happens to me too. Is it only in brouser? When I try to open It from the icon it says: Error: Could not create Java Virtual machine.
Error: A fatal exeption has occoured. The program will exit/

How do I fix the icon version?
Do you get an error report? If so please post it. Either your Java is messed up or your system resources aren't sufficient for Java to start up are my best guesses with so little info. Actually it could be a permissions issue too. Try right clicking the launcher icon and tell it to run as administrator and see if that helps.

Is the launcher on your desktop? If not, move it there.
If you're on Windows 7 in your user files appdata>roaming folder is there a .minecraft folder? That is the install location. You may need to turn on the option to see hidden files in the folder options of the control panel.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
