Hey, i've got a problem, my minecraft game runs well, but for whatever reason whenever i save and quit to title, the game does not save what i had done during my play time.
What i mean by this, is that whatever blocks i had destroyed are replaced or placed are removed, but if were to have mined iron or coal or something along the lines i would have the ore in my inventory, but with the block able to be mined again, causing a kind of duplication glitch/bug. This happened on both 1.4 and still on 1.5.
Sometimes it saves part of what i had done, but not enough for a easy repair. i would really like what is causing this, because i never had this problem with my old computer. I am planning to reset this computer back to its factory settings in the next few weeks, to see if that would help, but it would be better if anyone could tell me what is wrong with it. Thanks!
Yes this is happening on Singleplayer. I have tested Multiplayer and it runs fine.

Make sure you have enough Mb free on your C drive. Cause it is failing to save the new regions in the save folder (at least I think).
Can you send me a .zip/.rar of your saves folder (so I can se what's happening)? You can send it to [email protected]

I know that it has nothing to do with the saves folder, or any of the saves. I've downloaded multiple fresh .minecraft files, and they all have the same problem. If nobody else has something else to recommend on how to fix this i just wont play singleplayer until i reset the computer, as there is a chance that my C Drive is incapable of saving properly. Thanks for letting me know that this could be the cause!
Your system is pretty minimal and minecraft is getting more and more resource intense(1.5 is particularly bad right now). My best guess is that your processor isn't keeping up. As a test try hitting the escape key and leaving the game running for a few minutes before hitting save and quit and see if more progress is saved. If that seems to help then I recommend turning down game settings and you may even consider turning off smooth lighting in the video options which currently in 1.5 is causing a heavy fps drop for most people.
Another possibility since you say this issue has happened since 1.4 is that you have a system security program or a permissions issue that is hindering or blocking Java/minecraft from saving files properly.

That may be true. I will see about leaving it running for a few minutes before saving and quitting. If that doesn't do it, then ill just hope that restoring the pc will do the trick. Thanks for the help

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
