I have an iMac OSX 10.8.2. The game was working fine until recently, the game started giving error messages such as, "Minecraft is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." It says this when I try to open the desktop version.
When I try to play the downloadable version, it says the following:
Minecraft has crashed!
----------------------
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem; Failed to start game

1.5 is barely working on macs right now I am having a lot of issues getting the game to run on mine. I get stuck at the loading screen.
Force update. You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, start Minecraft, press 'Options' (above the 'Login' button), Press 'Force update!', then press 'Done', and login to Minecraft. See http://img.mcf.li/force_update.png for visual instructions.
