i went to my friends house and they showed me the cheat to make it daytime (when its night) and they did it for me, and when i tryed it on my computer it didn't work. then when my friend (the same friends that showed me the cheat) tryed it DID work. im pretty sure i didn't do it wrong. but not 100% sure. am i doing it wrong? and i am sure the cheats are set on. you do it in the chat box right? the cheat i typed in (that didn't work)

Make sure cheats are enabled on the world. If they aren't, you can either edit the save file, or open to LAN and it will give you the option to have cheats.
And also type /help to get all the other commands.
