I just updated my Minecraft to 1.5 and now my Texture Packs Option is missing. It's gone even when I use the Default Texture Pack so I can't update my new texture pack to using the 1.5 version. What do I do?
If you don't have access to Minecraft Realms, then won't it still just look ugly, like it's missing something? I think that for users who don't have access to Minecraft Realms, it should just have the Texture Packs button there as well as in the Options.
I also think it's really nice that now you can switch Texture Packs ingame without OptiFine. Now it's available to people who either don't know about mods or just don't use OptiFine. I'd still recommend OptiFine, though, since it really is a great mod.
I am using 1.6.2 and there is no texture pack button. On the main screen you have your single and multiplayer buttons and under options you only have resource folder. I downloaded MCPatcher and still nothing. I am trying to play Kingdom of the Sky but it states you need to use the texture pack otherwise the map will be incomplete.

Texture packs are now deprecated and have been replaced with "resource packs". It is basically the same thing, but with added support for sounds as well.

I'm using 1.6.2 as well and I've put a texture pack (from http://painterlypack.net) in the 'resource 'pack' folder, but when I open up Minecraft it doesn't recognize it or see it. What am I doing wrong?
