Hello everyone, as you know, The 1.5 REDSTONE UPDATE was released today! Also, in it's extensive list of new features, vanilla animated textures were made possible!
The problem is that many, many, many people who attempt to use this new feature are greeted with the block they just animated displaying "Missing texture" on a white background.
As I said, many people have this problem, and after two hours of searching, no one has gotten a response on how to fix this... If anyone knows what is wrong, please tell us.

I have followed the instructions: edit a block/item's texture file by creating a 16 by "X" (where X is the number of animations you want multiplied by 16) image and saving it as a .png... Why is this happening?
i have the same problem i can see textures for everything thats not animated
but the animated textures arnt showing up
Alright, this is incredibly odd, but apparently placing an empty text file with the name X.txt (where X is the name of the .png file being edited) into the same folder is a fix... Mojang, seriously fix that.
