I'm on a mac playing (you guessed it) Minecraft. I would like to know how to increase my fps rates. It usually gets about 30-60 fps. Well, I have CDO (OCD) and would like it to be about 100-130fps. I have optifine installed. I have 2 gigs of ram in my macbook. Is there a way for it to increase?
First off: what are the full specs? Found by going to the upper left hand corner of your screen and choosing "about" or something similar. If it has 2 GB, it likely isn't paired with decent hardware. You're probably going to have a rather tough time trying to increase the framerate. Also, what settings are you running in Optifine? Make sure everything is set to "Fast" and particles are set to "off".
