I made a noob mistake. Not understanding the implications of updating. I'd been updating my browser, virus software, etc, and when I logged in this morning and it asked if I wanted to update I hit yes.
Now I can't access the server I play on, use the texture pack I want, or use my mods. I'm sure this will all be resolved in time, but in the meantime, can I go back?
I'm having the same issue atm I really love the update and don't want to lose my work, but I want to be able to play on Minecraft Omega... I don't know when the server will update...

Click start, in the search bar, type %appdata% and click roaming, then .minecraft, then bin, then delete minecraft.jar and paste the newly downloaded one from that link in it's place.
there is no need for any mods or tools.
And if you're on a mac, then I can't help you, but the process should be relatively the same.
