I just recently created a portal to the Nether, and just my luck, it put me on a tall pillar above lava! Anway, while trying to deal with this by building a shelther as I can around me the game just crashed and closed out. Now anytime I load up that world it just crashes instantly after loading up the Nether map.
Any ideas of what's going on and how to fix it?
Thanks!
ALSO: The message I get when this happens is Java SE Binary has stopped working.
It's possible taht the first crash resulted in a corruption of your nether chunk, and that this causes the subsequent crashes.
Since you just started in the Nether you could just delete your existing nether and it will be regenerated fresh.
The nether is stored in %appdata%/.minecraft/saves/<Your World>/DIM-1
I think I figured out what the problem was! I think when I got the new Java update, it downloaded the wrong version for my computer. Reinstalling the correct one seems to have fixed the problem.
Thank you for your advice and help though! I'll keep that reloading the Nether advice in mind, it may turn out to be useful later. 8D
