So i have a mac. I love minecraft and never have any fps problems. But heres my problem:
My fps always stays at 60.
Never lower, never higher. I dont know what to do, once i pressed a button and it jumped to 400 fps but i exited out and didnt save.
I have Max Fps set on and i didnt add any mods like optifine to modify anything.
Can you tell me how to raise my fps? Im pretty sure its not a computer problem (Im a tech newb)
why would you want to? 60 is the prime number for fps, anything over it usually'isnt stable. and the 400fps you got was a glitch
Source? There's nothing wrong with loads of FPS.
It sounds like you may have some driver throttling your CPU so if you get more than 60 FPS, it won't render them. That random button probably turned it off. I'm not a mac guy though, so I can't say what that was.

are you sure it was glitch? It was going 400, 350, etc etc

Generally, Minecraft on my Mac has around 125 FPS and I have no problems.
It's in the video setting menu.
