Hello everyone so i have a bit of an annoying issue:
As you can see in this image their is tiny white dots and sometimes their is lines but it is really hard to get a screenshot of this because everyone time i move and or do anything they move and this was the 10th try to get it. Anyways i had this issue a while back and they said to Turn off Anti-Aliasing in the Video Options Menu and it worked until i tried the 1.5 Pre Release. Right now this is what my Anti-Aliasing settings look like:
No problems with any of the pre-releases other then 1.5pre, so why all of a sudden do we need new graphics settings? I have no idea how to turn off anti-aliasing just for java, my card is older and does not have a fancy control panel. Please help
I've tried changing all the in-game options, fancy or fast, smooth lighting or not, every option has been toggled. Full screen or not, the light only shines through stone and cobblestone, smooth bricks and dirt, etc do not have the lines or dots... it seems block-specific.
PS: No texture packs or mods running, vanilla client 1.5pre
Well so i did some more digging and its not only 1.5pre:
The picture on the left is of the current build (1.4.7) and on the right is Pre 1.5, It is impossible to turn of Anti-Aliasing for a Eyefinity AMD Radeon HD 7770, I have gone through the whole control panel flipped it upside token and the only option i have is to set it to user settings if you have any idea on how to fix this besides using optfine that would be great. Because me or any of the people i have talked to can figure out why this is happening to Vanilla Minecraft.
I've tried both setting antialiasing to 'Use application settings' AND 'Override application settings' while setting antialiasing samples to 'none,' and for both I still have the white dots/lines all over the place. I've tried this for both global settings AND javaw.exe by itself.
I have this problem on both my laptop and my desktop, and I've been having this issue for a very long time now - well before 1.4.7 I believe.
I've also noticed that some versions look better than others. Snapshot 13w01b looks considerably neater than any later version of the game, for example.
As you can see here, it's the same white dots as the OP. It's tricky to capture because they keep flickering.

And exactly just how do I do that?
