Hey so I'm new to both Minecraft and the forums so if I'm doing anything wrong or putting something in the wrong area let me know and I'll fix it.
Anyways my issue I'm having is that I start up Minecraft, which I just bought and installed today, and I can play for about 3 minutes before it says it has run out of memory and gives the default "may be caused by a bug etc etc" message and then gives me the option to go to main menu or to quit game. Now some backstory. The world I was playing in is the world I played in during the demo from a few days ago. Also my computer is quite old. Not sure the exact age but I've had it for at least 4-6 years, it runs Windows XP and has a fairly new video card. Now I DID have to update Flash when I first started it up because I couldn't even start Minecraft without getting a message saying "Flash has encountered an error and must close" then gave the send error report or dont send options. I'm really not sure what is causing the issue to be honest, whether my computer is too old or what is going on. I have alot of the graphic setting on the lowest they will go but maybe I missed something.
Anything you guys can offer to help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
That actually did help. It will crash out of nowhere after a couple hours without an error or reason popping up but it is much better. I think my computer is just old as well, luckily I'm getting a new one within the next month or so. Thanks for the info!
