I have a survival game that has gone well until a few days ago when a chunk of my village went missing, what I'm told to be a chunk error. After roaming the map for awhile and coming back to the village there was still a giant hole in the ground. Now hundreds of villagers have taken over and I can't do anything without tremendous lag.
Why did these villagers pop up all of a sudden? I don't mod. I'm using a texture pack that I have twisted around a little, but I haven't messed with anything that could create such an enormous amount of villagers!
Could villagers falling into the chunk have anything to do with it? Is there any way to fix this, or is this world a goner?
mcedit is hard to use... I give up! Even if I got the chunk reloaded, I still have a village overrun with villagers. I can manage a missing chunk, not hundreds of villagers raiding my house!
