using windows 7-
installed some mods for the first time using winrar and at some point minecraft would crash upon opening with an error pertaining to single player commands or java. dont remember exactly. anyway after trying to fix it all weekend decided to delete anything minecraft or winrar from computer and reloaded java. now when I down load the game and try to run it (just run or "run as admin") the "user acount" window pops up asking to allow minecraft to make changes to comp. hit yes then nothing. will not execute. tried installing another program to see if it would run and it did so must be specific to minecraft. what do I do know?

Well i guess you didn't happen to save your crash log did you? Anyways, deleting winrar won't help the situation. My guess is that you deleted java and did not re-install the correct version or didn't re-install correctly
Can you try running another program that requires java (I have no idea what program you tried)? Internet browsers and such will work, just load a java powered website.

Please post specs for your machine. Or a DXDIag would be awesome
