My Minecraft does not lag at all, and runs pretty well, but what it does do is heat up my (Desktop) system, and make the fan go crazy. This worries me, could the heat damage anything? And how can I stop it?
Here are my specs:
Manufacturer: Dell
Model: Inspiron ONE2205
Rating: 4.3 (Not sure if that's useful, but putting it here.)
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240e Processor 2.80 GHz
RAM: 4.00 (3.75 GB Usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system
Pen and touch: Touch Input Available with 2 Touch Points
Limit your FPS to the screen refresh rate, Optifine can do this. That's about it when it comes to software. For hardware, there are cooling fans for a tower, perhaps ask in here: http://www.minecraft...ussion-support/
Alright, thank you!

Retired StaffMinecraft is very resource intensive, it makes both the processor and graphics card work hard. Hence the heat.
I'm using a Desktop computer, and can't use cooling pads. Do they make some sort of cooling device for desktops? Or is there something else I can do?
