After dying the prompt for Respawn comes up but I have no mouse cursor and can't click anything. This has happened twice now. It says score 1004 but I'm not playing on hardcore so what gives?

Is it vanilla minecraft or with mods?

You have no mouse, you mean.. like it doens't respond?

There is no mouse cursor, no keyboard or response. I can press F11 and the mouse is working in windows, but I can't click the buttons on the Minecraft screen.

This happened in 1.4.7 running Java 32 bit and the the latest snapshot running Java 64 bit.

MCPatcher only, no textures or mods.

If I reload the level, I get the same thing. I can not continue.

I know you don't relate the cause to resizing the window in your case, but still the end symptoms are the same. Also other bug reports closed due to duplication related to this report sound much like your issue.

I just had this problem today with a player on my server and I resolved it by tping him to the exact block at /spawn and it worked he could respawn, so try that and it might work!
