It looks like you have some decent specs to run minecraft on, but I suggest installing a 64-bit operating system if you can. I also recommend installing optifine if you haven't yet, it really helps with FPS issues. Now, your processor is probably the biggest difference aside from the graphics card, so I do not think the graphics card means anything in this case unless you are having issues loading minecraft with it. Aside from what I have just said, video cards most of the times do make a difference. I suggest experimenting with what that page says to do with your settings. Also, you can allocate more memory to minecraft. First open minecraft. Now open task manager, (Windows Cntrl+Alt+Del) (Mac top left option). Now, you should see minecraft in the applications window of the task manager. Right click on Minecraft and click "Go to process". Now what you want to do is right click the highlighted words that come up (java.exe) and hover over "Set Priority". From here you can basiclly allocate memory usage from Low to realtime. I do NOT recommend putting this on realtime as it may chug your computer. Just put it on Above normal or High
