I've been having an issue with Minecraft lately. I updated Java to 7 *idk the version* and Minecraft would freeze when at the loading screen, and after a long while, would crash. I uninstalled 7 and played around with versions of 6 till I found one that worked for me. I am using 6-39 and when I minimize the game to look at something on a browser or look at my computer desktop, there is a glitch happening. When I un-minimize, I cannot move, type, open or close inventory, or press esc. It's like minimizing removes use of my keyboard. I alt F4 and restart and it's fine till I minimize again. It doesn't happen EVERY time, but about 85% of the time. It's very annoying. I'm running vista with 6GB ram and 300 GB on the Cdrive. I had no issues like this prior to changing verisons. And I couldn't tell you what version of java I had before, as I didn't look and see before updating.
When you downloaded it, did you get the 64 bit version? I dont think this would matter much, but it is good to check.. Try reinstalling the most recent version.. Or, I am using 1.7.0_15 on windows 7, so that could be a version to try.

I got the 64 bit version. The most recent version of Java won't let me run MC at all. I believe it's 7 13 right? That one won't work :I I wonder why it's having such issues? I have installed and reinstalled over 20+ times already. This version works best but that dang glitch makes playing very difficult. Especially since I have to minimize a lot.
