Hey everyone, I recently tried to update my java version, seeing as i hadn't done so in some time. While the update was effective, i began having errors with my minecraft. Whenever i click on minecraft.exe and hit run, I immediatley get an error window reading "the registry refers to a nonexistent java runtime environment installation or the runtime is corrupted. the system cannot find the path specified." I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java several times. I have seen a few other forums for this issue but none seemed to be current, and I'm not sure if they are for windows 7 computers (if that makes a difference). Any advice?

I would try something like Comodo System Utilities or CCleaner to clean up some registry errors and stuff. Make sure to do this with java uninstalled, and as always, make sure to backup. (Comodo System Utilities automatically does i think)
