Minecraft doesn't recognize memory I add to it. I have a 64-bit OS and ONLY 64-bit java. My pc has 8 gigabytes of memory. I've tried using the command prompt, a batch file, and editing java runtime parameters. I've had this problem for OVER a year. there is nothing about this ANYWHERE. Any ideas.
I do need it. I have optifine and when I set the render distance higher than far The game takes all the memory it can get and will start stutering when there is no more for it to take. I also want to put in a shaders mod but I can't with the way my game runs as is. I have tried magic launcher and everything else out there relating to adding memory to minecraft. NOTHING works.
