Hello, I'm new here and seeking for help.
I installed minecraft, it updated successfuly but when I try to run it, nothing happens, it only loads for a brief second and that's it.
As mentioned, I've already tried deleting the .bin folder and reinstalling java but that didn't seem to help.
Please help me out, thanks!
I do question, did you actually purchase minecraft?
This problems may be due to several reasons:
1. Like you said, you re-installed java, but did you try to update it if needed? There might be an update needed.
2. I had this problem when I first started playing minecraft, it turns out I was running the .jar file.
Try deleting the whole .minecraft in your appdata and then force update.
To do that, Click the Start button in the bottom left corner and go to run. If you have windows 7, or higher, there is a search bar to search programs. You can just type in run there.
In the run box, type "%appdata%" without the quotes of course and press enter. That should pop up with your Application Data and from there you can delete the .minecraft folder.
After you have done all of those run the minecraft.exe and before you login click options next to your username and password field. There will be a Force Update option, so click it. It will force update minecraft and might fix your problem.

Hope your problem get's resolved
I did not buy the game, I hope that isn't crossing forum* rules. Although, the game worked fine before, I am not sure why it stopped.
I am pretty sure that I've downloaded the latest java there is.
I fully removed .minecraft but the .exe file wont even budge. It loads for less than a second and nothing happens.
If I am crossing server rules, can you help me via PM? thanks by the way.

Well, I'm not sure if I can help you or not due to the rules do say Illegal activity such as piracy is not allowed at this forum. I'm not sure if they mean other products that are not related to Minecraft. I would recommend waiting for a moderator to approve this or not.
I'm very sorry and I hope you can understand =(
You can visit the rules here: http://rules.mcf.li/
Or you can click link above my signature that says "General Rules".
