I've had a strange problem for quite some time now and I've been unable to find anyone who has had something similar happen. My Minecraft version is stuck on 1.0. I've forced updates, I've completely removed the .Minecraft folder from my computer and re-downloaded, I've even gone through the registry files, but it still loads into Minecraft 1.0. That's strange enough, but what's even stranger is that it will run perfectly even if I delete Minecraft.jar from the .Minecraft folder. It doesn't throw any errors, I'm not getting any messages; It runs perfectly, it downloads all the new files, it just doesn't seem to use them.
I've scoured my computer but I've been unable to find any backups of Minecraft.jar or anything else it might be using. At this point, I'm out of ideas, and I'd appreciate any help. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I'm running 64-bit Windows 7.

Tried both, but it still comes up with version 1.0, even though it lists the version as 1.4.7 in Magic Launcher when I check the options
