minecraft HUD being wonky

my minecraft is flipping out on me. i was changing some video settings to make the game less laggy and when i finished my hud AND all players, mob, clouds etc. were flashing in and out of the screen. it only happens in waves buts extremely annoying. help please?

derp. turns out it was my computer that was the problem. i did a reboot and everything is fine again. thanks for trying to help though
