Today I was unable to start minecraft. I didn't have any problems starting it up yesterday or the day before. However, this is what pops up after I tried today:

I tried restarting my computer, didn't help.
I also updated my Java to the latest version today, not sure if it has anything to do with it...
Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, I didn't find any "Tech support" section in the forums.
I forgot to say that's what happens when I open the game with Magic Launcher.
When I start up Minecraft by itself, I just get a black screen that never changes.
I've got a similar issue. I've tried to download minecraft to my new mac (Retina, 15") and whenever i try to download it the computer automatically thinks that the game is broken and needs to be thrown to the trash. Could the two issues possibly be related?

Your issue is completely different. Your issue is Gatekeeper. See the Mac Support FAQ Section A.1.
So is there any way to fix my problem?
By the way, the Magic MineCraft launcher is a modded client. If I am not mistaken, this should be in the modded client section of the forum.
