hi everyone! I am new to minecraft on pc and this forum. i found a sever earlier and was lagging pretty bad in the online game and figured its whatever cause my signal strength for internet wasn't that strong. But then i tried playing a single player game and the lag was far worse! like 1 frame per 2 sec.
Do i need good internet strength for both multiplayer and single player games?(well obviously multiplyr)
Is there a way to decrease this lag??
(p.s. i just updated my java so thats up to date)
(p.p.s. i hope its not what im playing on which is a Eee PC 1215n netbook)
It might be what your playing on. I'm on a mac, which is a few months old. I only have lag in extreme conditions (Gigantic TNT explosions, mass animal outbreak, etc.). But on the otherhand, when I play on another older or worse style computer, I get extreme lag in tiny conditions. Java is up to date on both. I don't know what the Eee PC 1215n netbook is, but check the system requirements for minecraft and then your own PC's system status's. I tried to help the best I can, hope I did. Sorry if you read this and it didn't help.
if you wanted to, download optifine for 1.4.6-7 *i dunno * optifine greatly cuts lag down and gives you great ways to customize you're game, definatly helps me, and i have an extremely crap laptop
