Hi i need help i created a world on minecraft 1.8.1 beta about a year ago and the world was lost about 6-10 months ago. im wondering if i can recover the world itself or at least extract the seed from it

the only files i have from the world are as follows:
all region files
all .dat files
With the newest version of minecraft, you can "re-create" worlds when you go to SinglePlayer (the screen where you select world). then when you do so, you can press F3 to view the seed. (I THINK you can also use /seed)

To recover the world:
Make a new folder in your current Minecraft saves folder. Paste into that folder the b1.8.1 level.dat file and the b1.8.1 region folder (with all of the .mcr files in it).
To recover the seed:
Visit this link and upload your b1.8.1 world's "level.dat" file to find the seed of the world. Copy and paste that seed and use it as the seed for a newly generated map.

Did you even read? I said you can re-create the world, then use the re-created world.
