Fresh new minecraft wont play sound. So i go into options and notice sound is off i try to turn it up but the game just freezes and i have to use task manager to close it. i go into the options text document in the .minecraft and change the sound to 1.0 then load up minecraft. Problem persists. i look at the options text doc. again and the sound was changed back to 0.0. Resources file is all fresh and new and working with all the files. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
I do, hold f3(opens your minecraft information) and press s. that's , f3+s. This resets the minecraft sound system. Also, to. Be extra sure, open the launcher but don't log in, go to volume and click somewhere on the meter to check the sound is working. Then play. Hope it works!
