What I mean by "ghost" fires is when you toggle fire spread off and you have a lighting strike. There is still a fire entity, block, what ever, created and doesn't ever burn out... Is there a way I can use some sort of mcedit filter to remove the "ghost fires"? Any help would be greatly appreciated, a group of us have been building this map for quite some time now and want it to look it's best for release.
Have you tried destroying the blocks the fires are appearing on and replacing them?
Yes.. But this has effected a large area of my map and I don't feel like doing it all by hand. This also defeats the entire purpose of toggling fires spread off.

Can't it's the latest snapshot and if I was to load the world up in 1.4.7 all the new blocks would dissapear.
Not really considering that it effects the server it self not just my client....
