So yeah, I have been having some troubles playing Minecraft on my kinda newish laptop, I got it at Christmas and have been having these troubles ever since.
Basically, on Singleplayer, I can play for anywhere in between 1-5 minutes before everything it freezes and I can't even exit out or anything, after a while of spamming the X button, it will say Java has stopped working. This will do the same on multiplayer, but happens anywhere between 5-30 minutes.
I decided to try play it in browser, and it freezes my browser and says Java has stopped responding.
When I do manage to play, I get a tops of 250 FPS, with pretty much all setting at the max, so it can't be my Graphics card.
These are my specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-2450M @2.50GHz
RAM: 4.00GB
OS: Windows 7
Graphics Card: Some Radeon thing.
do you get any crash reports on your desktop or in the .minecraft folder?
are your graphics drivers and java updated?
have you tried updating the LWJGL files?
I'm not sure how to update drivers. So a no on that one, I thought I had updated Java, but again not sure on the exact way to do it. And no I don't get any crash reports, the program just stops responding. I will try updating the LWJGL thingy
I just got a fresh .minecraft and installed Optifine, set the autosave to 30 minutes, and I'm going to see if that helps Thanks for the quick reply btw
-------------------Edit-------------------
Hmm, for some reason, with optifine, my Minecraft now has a cap of 60 fps, and while recording goes down to 10. And I am doing Let's Plays, so that isn't good. Any Ideas?
