Hey everyone,

I am having an issue with my controls in MC. I loaded up my world and pressed the "W" key to go foward and it made me keep going forward after i released it. I hit ESC to break it, but then, any key I pressed cycled the hotbar items 1-9 and would keep doing it. Now, I did go into options>controls and tried to reset it, however, nothing fixes the issue. I also loaded up a brand new world and the same thing happens. I've gone in to the appdata files and deleted the options.txt, the bin, i've looked at the "Sticky Keys" thing on Windows. Everything seems in order. A trick I can do to almost play normal is if I hold down the Alt key, I can move with the WASD, but if i release, it just goes back to cycling 1-9.

Anyone have any ideas? I've Googled, read other forums, but nothing has worked when I tried those.

Just tried that, did not work.

The removal of Norton did not work. I did some searching and I found this in the Lenovo forums:

Ok, so I figured it out. It was not a hardware issue. We were on to something with the Comcast Norton IDGuard or whatever that was. I did the uninstall of Norton AV, however, there was still an IDGuard program installed on my machine. I went to the control panel/programs and uninstalled it, restarted, and NO MORE control issue. I appreciate the help webrosc.
