Hello everyone! im not much of a forum person but i really need some help. ive been playing for a month now with no real problems. however recently ive been having this problem where i go from around 30 fps to around 3 or 4 within a matter of a minute. closing out and reloading my map fixes it for about a second and it starts to drop again. I thought maybe it was an overheating problem but my PC doesnt reallt feel all that hot. I downloaded speedfan to check the temp and while running minecraft it's around 60c ish.
Does anyone know whats causing the slowdown and if there is anything i can do to fix it?

What are your graphic settings? (Assuming you have no mods). Have you tried installing optifine?

i have the render distance set to normal, brightness to 100%, basic settings to fast and max fps. Usually i have no problems but its just odd. Been like this for two days now.
i just tried it. it's still happening. though not as bad. went from around 50 (holy jeebus) to 20ish then down to 8.

That's odd. With your specs, you shouldn't be running that low. Try allocating more RAM to minecraft.
