When I log in on the Minecraft Launcher, I get the message "Login Failed" and I have the option to either play offline or try again with no results. It's the 1.4.7 version and I've searched forum after forum after forum with no results. I'de really like to play online and join other servers so if anyone could troubleshoot with me that would be fantastic. Thank you guys so much in advance!

You need to enter in the correct login credentials. If it says failed, you may have typed something wrong. You also need a legitimate copy of MineCraft. Another possibility is that logins are currently down.
