So has anyone else experienced this before? I have a backup for my world but I've done alot since that backup so I'd like to know if there is ANY way to fix this besides fixing it in-game (seems like an awful waste of time to fix in-game). Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for reading!
It would seem that the world corrupted. If you want to drain the water, download single player commands, and work out with that. It appears at least some of your old build remains. There is no way to, per se, rollback, the corruption, not without restoring from your said backup. Also, what mods do you have?
No mods, plain vanilla. I use magic launcher and vatticcs faithful texture pack. Thats all. Guess I'll just have to use my previous world save on my external hard drive. *sigh*
