A friend recently got Windows 8, as Windows 7 is nowhere avaiable anymore.
Yet we still want to play Minecraft.
So my friend now downloaded the latest Java and Minecraft.
Starting Minecraft was also no problem, no error nothing.
We also can place dirt blocks, stone blocks etc without problems.
....
but...
As soon we try to place Glowstone or Glassblocks and such blocks, Java immediately crashes.
The Computer has a good Nvidia Graphic card with the latest driver update. The CPU also has 16 GB ram and such, this shouldnt cause the issue.
So why does Java (Minecraft freezes completely) crash when trying to place Glowstones, Glass blocks and such?..... This is really annoying
How does a CPU have 16GB of RAM?
My CPU only has about 8mb of RAM (cache).
Also, Windows 7 can still be easily found and bought (such as on Amazon).
Only thing I can suggest is that you have mods, which you can remove by Force Updating:
Launcher>Options>Force Update>Log in and let Minecraft redownload.
You seem to have an old computer, if you insist, I might send you a screenshot xD. I really have 16 GB Ram. (100% Custom Gaming Computer)
And yes, if we really cant get along with win 8, we might have to wait till a friend gets us win 7 from somewhere, but this might take a (long) time....
And we also tried force update, but it did not help... And we also have no mods on it.

I cant find anything on their support site about that. Is there no direct way to contact them?

Please, does anyone know what to do? .w.
