I am running on a Alienware M15x w/ Ubuntu 12.04
First when even I Would login to a sever or single player world If you Load the hit box of the block i was looking at then, Freeze and crash.
Today I Upgraded my Graphics card Driver and now it won't even get to the Mojang Screen. I loaded it though terminal and I get this error

I am using

java -Xmx2G -Xms2G -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame

To start the launcher

Any clue what is causing this?

Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40GHz
4GB RAM
Radeon HD 5000 Series GPU w/ the latest Drives From AMD for linux(13.2 beta3 x86).

Java version:
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.3.6) (7u13-2.3.6-0ubuntu0.12.04.1)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 23.7-b01, mixed mode)
(I have Tried with ORACLE Installer and It didn't work any better then the OpenJDK)

java -Xmx2G -Xms2G

That's the problem. You have to specify in megabytes. Change that to

-Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame

Looking at other topics with the same error, here do this.

Run this command to get a list of extensions. I'm having some trouble trying to find a good resource on the error, but the the ATI drivers seem to be a common trend on most of them. (more info if I can find something significant)

xdpyinfo -queryExtensions

Weird, run this

fglrxinfo

if it returns nothing, make sure you have this installed

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
$ sudo apt-get install fglrx
$ sudo apt-get install fglrx-updates

It wasn't installed. And now fglrxinfo gives me

Problem is fixed to my knowledge.
