Summary:
Game mode: Survival, Creative, Normal world, Cheats enabled, Clean .Minecraft file
While playing on a SSP Normal, non modded version of minecraft with cheats enabled, none of the vanilla cheats work. Two cases can cause the cheats to crash:
-One, after playing a single player world for an extended time
-Two, after entering an invalid command
What I mean by extended time is 3-5 minutes, after which commands enter all give the same error message (Regardless of the command: I.E /Help) "Unknown command. Try /Help for a list of commands.", although /Help doesn't work itself.
Environment:
Java version: Version 7, update 13
Operating system: Windows XP
Graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M, 256.0MB of available memory, Display mode: 32 bit 60Hz
RAM: 2.00 GB
Description:
(How most cases go when I enter a Un-modded vanilla version of minecraft SSP with Cheats enabled)
I log into a new survival single player world and I progress through survival for awhile gathering resources when I want to use /gamemode 1 to fly to a different region. When I type /gamemode 1, it gives me the same unknown command error ("Unknown command. Try /Help for a list of commands") My first response is: Oh, so they changed it to /Gm? I type /Help and I get the same error. I test all of the known commands that I have remember and they all give the same errors. Images cannot be added because I don't have any sufficient video recording software and it could easily be debunked that an image showing the error could be me just typing in some random thing that isn't a command which could easily result as this thread being taken as a troll bug report (Which it is not).
I have encountered this error so many times that it is annoying. I want to know if it could be a possible issue with the way that minecraft is being installed, a problem with my computer specs (Which I highly doubt), a problem with the minecraft client or minecraft itself, or anything else.
It is greatly appreciated that you have taken your time to read through all of this. If you can provide any help as to why minecraft is bugging out, anything is helpful.
