Ok I got windows 8 pro (a disc for installing on your computer) and I formaly had windows vista. but now ever since i installed windows 8 it crashes and this pops up

Bad video card drivers!

I've looked on the forums and installed countless drivers but I have yet to find a problem like this. I've ignored it for about 2 months and now I would LOVE to play minecraft. But every time I get this crash report. HELP

Post a dxdiag report and we'll see if we can help you. No guarantees however. A lot of people jumping onto Windows 8 who have pretty old hardware.

Thanks for the dxdiag report. Did you install the driver I linked to above? If so, was that report done after you installed it or before? If you're still having issues can you post a copy of your most recent error report?

qtpriest's suggestion to update your lwjgl files in the minecraft install wouldn't hurt either, but isn't your main issue at the moment.

I didn't click the link yet, but did update my lwjgl like they said and same error but let me click on the driver linkWell, I downloaded many drivers. I got Catalyst and i believe two NVIDIA drivers. Don't remember the name though.I do understand I need to update my drivers. My friend got a new laptop with WIN8 and MC works just fine on it. The main problem is that I go to my driver settings and it tells me that my driver is up to date.

^ Yeah uninstall any catalyst you have now and install that one linked by cestislife. I just realized I linked you a 32bit driver because your error report just said you had Windows 8 (x86). However your dxdiag report says Win8 64bit.

While I was in my downloads, I found a driver and it hasn't been installed yet so I clicked on it. It was labeled NVIDIA WIN8 WIN7 WINvista. [Not exactly] But it told me it could not install bc it didn't find the right driver?

If it's not the one that cestislife linked to then ignore it. The one linked above should install.
