Try going to your PC vendor or motherboard vendor's website and update your chip set drivers to the latest version then try the Win7 drivers again.
This issue could be seen due to User Account Control (UAC) feature enabled on Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system. UAC is enabled by default in Windows Vista and Windows 7, as a result, you might encounter some compatibility problems with different applications that have not yet been updated for the Windows UAC component . update you LWJGL files and make sure you computer supports OPENGL.

I'm far behind on jwjgl updates. As for OpenGL yes my pc supports it. On the UAC, should i just turn it off completely? I just turned it off... MC still does not work. Didnt update my jwjgl yet

yes turn it off completely, what you could also do after you udpate and everything is create a new user and try to run minecraft from a different user account on the same computer. but if all fails then you can navigate to your devises/drivers section of your control panel and see if you have any conflicting drivers installed . well more like more than one video card driver running at once you may ave to disable one of them make sure your running can also create a batch file to allocate more ram and make sure youre using 64 bit java and only 64 bit java . code below make sure the .bat is in the same location as your minecraft.exe

its meant to run java with 3GB of ram i just copy pasted it from my batch file.change the 3 to a lower number if you dont want minecraft to run with that much ram

I have to say, i reverted back to my win 7 drivers with the updated jwjgl. I havent had a blue screen at all. Just to be sure ill keep updating. As of now the problem is fixed. DO NOT CLOSE THE THREAD YET!

Well i hear a lot of problems with windows 8 it was just bad driver support but now that it has been out for quite long enough to get a basic driver working IDK what the problem might be with you.

Yes, i am running the Intel g41 express chip set. I had changed the driver back to the intel win 7 version and MC worked buttttt, it gave me blue screens every 15 minutes. Soo i need help!
Try going to your PC vendor or motherboard vendor's website and update your chip set drivers to the latest version then try the Win7 drivers again.

UAC is enabled by default in Windows Vista and Windows 7, as a result, you might encounter some compatibility problems with different applications that have not yet been updated for the Windows UAC component . update you LWJGL files and make sure you computer supports OPENGL.

Updated my jwjgl and now instead of crashing at a black screen, now it just sits at a black screen. So Yeah....
yes turn it off completely, what you could also do after you udpate and everything is create a new user and try to run minecraft from a different user account on the same computer. but if all fails then you can navigate to your devises/drivers section of your control panel and see if you have any conflicting drivers installed . well more like more than one video card driver running at once you may ave to disable one of them make sure your running can also create a batch file to allocate more ram and make sure youre using 64 bit java and only 64 bit java . code below make sure the .bat is in the same location as your minecraft.exe

its meant to run java with 3GB of ram i just copy pasted it from my batch file.change the 3 to a lower number if you dont want minecraft to run with that much ram
