I've been having a few issues with Minecraft.
I have NO idea if I'm in the right section of the forum so I'm sorry.
I made an account specifically for this.
Anyways
MY ISSUES
-I can't open Minecraft without having my usual browser, Firefox, closed.
When I try, it says "error could not create the java virtual machine".
Actually what's funny is I tried just now and it worked. But I'd still want to know why every other time it didn't?
-Another issue is the LAN not working.
I know others have been having this issue lately and it may be due to the last update of Minecraft? But it's pretty annoying.
-Lastly, the most annoying.
When Minecraft works and I enter a world, doesn't matter what kind of world it is, it runs smoothly for a few minutes then goes all laggy and freezy.
*EDIT*
There is this other thing too...
When I go into a single player world, my person starts glitching, like vibrating or something?
I have to break the ground piece under me to stop it.
Are you using a router? I have no idea what's going with that Java/virtual machine stuff. Minecraft isn't 100% optimized, which is why the Optifine mod exists. Java is pretty horrible at memory managing. Does the lag ever go away for even a brief moment?
Also, I think this thread might be in the wrong section.

Yeah. I was a bit impatient to find the right section and I tried anyway.
But I'm at my dad's house which means I really have no idea what router I'm using or anything.
I didn't know it was that complicated.
-sigh-

Not that big a deal.

The router thing is only important if you want to host/play online games with zero trouble. In which case you do some port forwarding. And even the best PC's get some hard lag on Minecraft because how sluggish and derpish Java can be. There's still the optifine mod if all else fails.
