I still have my old saves from two years ago and was hoping to visit an old world where I died endless deaths trying to establish a outpost on a nearby mountain... damn creepers!
But the world won't show up on my main single player menu to be converted to the new file format.
make sure you back up your worlds and you put your old world in the same location as your new saves. if it doesnt show up what you can do is go where your world saves are and replace every file in one of your current worlds with the ones from your old map. you can crete a fresh world for this if you like. then check and see if that works.

Thanks QT... but I'd rather not start from scratch. The whole point of going back to this two year old world is just for nostalgia. LOL
