I was wanting to know if there was a way to force Minecraft to run in offline mode. This is because I have downgraded my Minecraft to Alpha 1.0.15, and in order for the sounds to work I have had to download an Alpha sound pack and use that but for THAT to work Minecraft must be run in offline mode (don't ask me why, I don't know!)
Yes, but that requires disconnecting from the internet, logging in then reconnecting which is something I really don't want to have to do each time I wish to play Minecraft
Would that affect any other applications, and how would I go about doing this?
If you run any java apps from desktop that need the internet, then yes.
Add a block, both inbound and outbound with the path "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" and/or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" depending on if you have the 64 bit, 32 bit, or both versions.

Thanks!
PS I got the sound stuff from here http://www.minecraft...0#entry20188825
I tried that, didn't seem to work... unless I did something wrong!
Try blocking java. This should work.

Hmm... thanks for the tip but it didn't seem to work... :/
