OKAY I JUST WANT TO START OFF WITH:
what the heck is this.
I have a Wins XP SP 3 for your curiousity.
Okay so I play minecraft alot and I normally have FPS from 9-28, NOW recently past 2-3 days its been acting weird, i seen it go up to 98fps out of no where.
In the Multiplayer area "Searching for LAN Worlds" its wow okay, the little 3 o's Ooo oOo ooO stuff is like I can say 10x+ faster. it's fast enough it doesn't give it the time to do any thing really, get a transparent imprent of the frames, take a screen shot it will show the frame it was on but not the weird transparent parts.
Text blinkers (when you type and that bar blinks) is just out of control.
I can deal with these. But then I get these issues:
Feels like I'm always in cobwebbing and soulsand, feels like there's a block above me ALWAYS, takes a good minute to fly or even jump onto another block. The FPS is going out of control where I'm going ahead then it brings me back a block (common with lag) BUT THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I MOVE. so even worse, it takes me 2385632X longer just to move a block or even jump onto it.
Placing/animation/ect is fine just that it keeps giving me the feeling as if I'm in a 2 block excuse me, 1 1/2 blocks stall with out being able to jump inside a cage where there is no room to walk and i'm constantly falling threw cobweb and walking 10x slower on soulsand.
Help?
What I tried:
Tried the browser: same thing
Re-install and Un-install .minecraft: Done many times nothing happens then me changing controls and video options, over and over.
Force update: made it worse
Updated Java: nothing happened
WHAT IS WITH THIS.
Well it depends on what graphics set up you have, but I find the simplest way is to use Steam if you have it. in the Steam dropdown in the client there's an option to have Steam check for driver updates for you.
To be honest with you I don't know what my graphics card is, and if the thing even updates any more. This computer looks rather, old. Though XP it could of been a person who turned it from (what ever version here) to XP currently I don't know. Is there even some way to tell what the card is other then breaking open the front of my tower and searching for it?
Also I'm not even going to start on the 'steam' part.
erhmsmas uhhh
There's also NVIDIA control stuff in control pannel as well which I heard that NVIDIA is a type of graphics card company.
And uhm about the steam thing, i never understood steam, tried it on a friends computer and "what the actual is this"
