Recently I have been playing on my SMP vanilla save. One day there was a chunk error so I walked passed it. Next time I logged on there was a glitch and a ton of black sheep spawned in the ocean, then suddenly the save quit and took me to the menu, I didn't even click anything! Now when I try to open the save it loads for a bit then goes to the main menu. I've been playing on that save for around two months and it is dear to me, is there any way to be able to recover the save or fix it?

You could try using MCEdit to get rid of the sheep and possibly place you to another location.

Does MCedit work through saves? Ex: I cut something In one save then paste it in another save?

Yeah, it does. You just need to open the save, select the thing you want to copy, copy it, save it, open another save, load the thing you just saved and paste it.
